At North Florida Mediation we have identified several areas which we believe are important to a successful mediation. First, we take the time to prepare for your mediation. We encourage pre-mediation discussions with the mediator to find out if there are any special needs or requests. We prefer that the parties furnish us with a summary of the case or provide us with copies of pertinent pleadings. There is never a charge for reviewing summaries or preparation time.
Second, we believe each case is different. We try to customize your mediation for your particular case. We don't treat every mediation the same. Mr. Lunsford strives to tailor the process to your situation and remain flexible as to all aspects of the meeting.
Third, it is important to apply investigative problem-solving techniques. Mr. Lunsford strives to find common ground, ask pointed questions to invoke the underlying issues and then suggest ways to resolve the case.
Lastly, we believe in persistence. We will do our best to keep the parties at the table. If for some reason we can not settle your case, Mr. Lunsford encourages an open line of communication and may in some cases follow up by telephone with each side if he feels there is a potential for settlement. We pride ourselves on remaining actively engaged in helping you settle your dispute. We will not simply impasse the session when the negotiations get difficult. We are committed to the alternative dispute resolution process and believe that with a little creativity and optimism we can resolve your case.
Mr. Lunsford offers a unique combination of litigation experience coupled with a strong background in alternative dispute resolution. Kevin is a Primary Trainer for the Florida Supreme Court mediation training programs and frequently lectures throughout Florida on topics such as mediation, negotiation, and communication skills. In addition to his mediation experience, Kevin is also a qualified arbitrator and arbitration trainer.
At North Florida Mediation, we have the ability to customize the conflict resolution process to best suit the needs of the parties. We can help couples create their own marital settlement agreement and parenting plan without the time and expense associated with the traditional attorney-driven divorce or mediate a multiparty circuit civil dispute.
We also offer online mediation through Zoom video conferencing. This platform allows participants to avoid long-distance travel and in-person meetings. There are no additional costs to participate in a video conference mediation.
Let us put our 30 plus years of experience to work to help you resolve your case!
